Scientific Literacy Tips

I teach quantitatively oriented classes to students who do not have quantitative or “hard science” backgrounds. To help my students engage with the course material, and to help them understand the process through which scientific knowledge has been constructed, I have developed a miniature “Scientific Literacy” curriculum. This includes training in how to read scientific papers as well as how to present, summarize, and evaluate those papers. In addition, I offer these quick Scientific Literacy Tips of the Day.
